SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE
The application concerns the applicant’s civil action against a newspaper for defamation following the publication of an article describing her as sister of a state enemy and her dismissal from her job after the publication of that article.
QUESTIONS tO THE PARTIES
1. Has there been an interference with the applicant’s right to respect for her private life, within the meaning of Article 8 § 1 of the Convention as a result of (i) the publication and (ii) her dismissal from her job? If so, was that interference in accordance with the law and necessary in terms of Article 8 § 2?
2. Has the applicant suffered discrimination on the ground of her brother’s political views, contrary to Article 14 read in conjunction with Article 8 of the Convention?
The parties are requested to provide the Court with a copy of the Supreme Court’s decision of 2 October 2012.
