FIRST SECTION
Application no. 36423/16
Esraa AL BEID and others
against Greece
lodged on 14 July 2016
SUBJECT MATTER OF THE CASE
The application concerns the living conditions of the applicants, all Syrian nationals, in the EKO camp, and the shortcomings in the asylum procedure.
QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES
1. Having regard to the applicants’ situation (mostly families with minor children and adults who face various health issues), were their living conditions in EKO camp compatible with the requirements of Article 3 of the Convention?
2. Having regard to the applicants’ allegations that they were not able to access the asylum procedures despite their repeated attempts and thus they would face the risk of being returned to Syria without an examination of the merits of their allegations under Article 3 of the Convention, was the procedure afforded to the applicants as asylum seekers, after their arrival in Greece, compatible with Article 3 of the Convention, taken in conjunction with Article 13?
