Amended proposal for a Decision of the representatives of the Governments of the
Member States of the European Coal and Steel Community, meeting within the Council,
applying for 1985 the generalized tariff preferences for certain steel products originating

By virtue of the second paragraph of Article 149 of the Treaty establishing the European
Economic Community, the Commission hereby proposes to the Council:
1. that '406 Greenland' be added to the lists of generalized tariff preference-receiving
developing countries and territories in the Commission proposal fixing the
Community's generalized tariff preferences scheme for 1985 (COM(84) 378 final of
16 July 1984) ('), at:
— page 95 (Annex III B — industrial products),
— page 176 (Annex IV B — textile products),
— page 212 (Annex III B — agricultural products),
— page 231 (Annex III B — steel products);
2. that the following footnote (c) be added to Annex II of the Regulation on agricultural
products, on page 189 of the abovementioned proposal: 'preference shall not be
accorded in respect of the products marked with an asterisk where they originate in
Greenland';
3. that asterisks be placed against rates of the duty for CCT heading Nos 03.01, 03.02,
03.03, 16.04, 16.05 and 23.01 B, on pages 189, 190, 200 and 209 of the
abovementioned proposal.
