The application concerns the applicant’s detention on remand pending trial for over two years, between 7 Marcy 2014 and 12 July 2016.
The applicant complains under Article 5 §§ 1 and 3 that his detention was not based on relevant and sufficient reasons.
QUESTION tO THE PARTIES
Was the applicant’s detention based on relevant and sufficient reasons as required by Article 5 § 3 of the Convention and was its length in breach of the “reasonable time” requirement (Rimschi v. the Republic of Moldova, no. 1649/12, § 21, 13 January 2015).
