COMMISSION DECLARATION of 11 December 1980
THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Whereas Articles 43 and 61 of the Act of Accession of Greece, provide a system of compensatory amounts to be applied in trade between the Community as at present constituted and Greece;
Whereas the Council, on a proposal from the Commission, is required to adopt the necessary provisions for implementing the system of compensatory amounts ; whereas proposals to this end have been submitted to the Council ; whereas these proposals when adopted will allow the Commission in accordance with the Management Committee procedure to adopt detailed implementing rules;
Whereas it is essential that the authorities of the Member States and traders are aware now of the provisions likely to be applied,
HEREBY DECLARES:
That it will adopt formally on 1 January 1981 the text of the draft Regulation annexed hereto on condition that the Council adopts the Regulations providing the legal basis for the draft.
