Darian Pavli, President,
Ioannis Ktistakis,
Oddný Mjöll Arnardóttir, judges,
and Viktoriya Maradudina, Acting Deputy Section Registrar,
Having regard to the above application lodged on 21 April 2020,
Having regard to the decision to grant the applicants anonymity under Rule 47 § 4 of the Rules of Court,
Having deliberated, decides as follows:
FACTS AND PROCEDURE
The list of the applicants is set out in the appendix.
The applicants were represented by Ms C.I. Papageorgiou, a lawyer practising in Athens.
The applicants’ complaints under Articles 3 and/or 8 of the Convention concerning the applicants’ living conditions and medical treatment, as well as under Article 13 taken in conjunction with Article 3 of the Convention concerning the alleged deficiencies of the identification and asylum procedure, were communicated to the Greek Government (“the Government”).
On 10 September 2021 the applicants informed the Registry that they did not wish to pursue further with their application.
THE LAW
In the light of the foregoing, the Court concludes that the applicants may be regarded as no longer wishing to pursue the application (Article 37 § 1 (a) of the Convention). Furthermore, in accordance with Article 37 § 1 in fine, the Court finds no special circumstances regarding respect for human rights as defined in the Convention and the Protocols thereto which require the continued examination of the application.
Accordingly, the case should be struck out of the list.
For these reasons, the Court, unanimously,
Decides to strike the application out of its list of cases.
Done in English and notified in writing on 14 March 2024.
Viktoriya Maradudina Darian Pavli
