Forward estimate for the 1986/87 wine year

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,
Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 337/79 of 5 February 1979 on the common
organization of the market in wine ('), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 3805/85 (2),
and in particular Article 5 (4) thereof,
Whereas Article 5 (4) of Regulation (EEC) No 337/79 stipulates that a forward estimate must
be drawn up each year in order to determine the resources and assess the requirements of the
Community, including foreseeable imports from and exports to non-member countries;
Whereas under Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2396/84 of 20 August 1984 (3), amended by
Regulation (EEC) No 418/86 (4) the forward estimate must be drawn up on the basis of all the
information available, in particular that forwarded by the Member States;
Whereas the Member States have forwarded to the Commission the information on harvest and
stock declarations relating to wine-sector products in accordance with Commission Regulation
(EEC) No 2102/84 of 20 August 1984 (5), as last amended by Regulation (EEC) No 2467/
86 (');
Whereas the draft forward estimate drawn up by the Commission for 1986/87 is in accordance
with the opinion of the Management Committee for Wine,
HAS ADOPTED THIS ESTIMATE:
The forward estimate for 1986/87 wine year for the Community excepting Portugal is shown
in the Annex hereto.
