STATEMENT OF FACTS
A. The circumstances of the case
The facts of the case, as submitted by the applicants, may be summarised as follows.
The applicants assert in particular that they have been detained in crowded prison cells. For the details of their detentions, see Annex.
COMPLAINTS
The applicants complain under Article 3 of the Convention about the conditions of their detention, allegedly executed in overcrowded prison cells; moreover, they submit under Article 13 that they do not have an effective remedy concerning their complaints of the conditions of their detention.
QUESTIONS TO THE PARTIES
1. Have the applicants been subjected to inhuman or degrading treatment on account of their cramped prison conditions, in breach of Article 3 of the Convention?
2. Did the applicants have at their disposal an effective domestic remedy for their complaints about prison conditions under Article 3, as required by Article 13 of the Convention?
